Anti-LGBT pastor resigns after Grindr photos, hook-up conversations exposed

This always seems to happen. It is far too frequent to be a coincidence, and cognitive dissonance must play a part. Or just a very bad attempt to bluff. Anywho, here is an example from a few months back. This is LGBTQ Nation:

MIDLAND, Mich. — An anti-gay pastor in Michigan has resigned following revelations that he regularly solicited men on the popular gay hookup app, Grindr.

Rev. Matthew Makela, a married father of five, resigned as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Midland, Mich., on Sunday, just one day before Queerty posted screenshots and text messages of sexually explicit conversations between the pastor and other men.

Queerty reports that he has been "promulgating the ridiculous (not to mention dangerous) notion that homosexuality is akin to alcoholism" as well as attacking transgenders. Also:

Which brings us back to Makela. The married father of five from Midland, Michigan doesn’t just preach Jesus’ love and help with bake sales. He also uses his position of authority and respect in his community to broadcast his self-loathing view on same-sex attraction.

Go figure. I could almost believe in karma if it was, well reasonable.
