Wow. This says it all. Several things to take away from this. I was taken aback by the idea that a slump in gun sales, a real economic downturn to the industry, came from ... "stability in the country". "Fear drives sales in the gun industry". Profit in violence. Slump in profit in...relative safety.

Here is an interesting video from Vox. I know some have tried rebuttals to this, but from what I have seen, they take the crime angle, where much of this video deals with suicides.
