How Elections in NI and Wales Stack up for Humanists

Here are some infographics produced by the British Humanist Association (BHA) detailing which parties support humanist ideals:

It seems like the Greens, the Lib Dems and Alliance Party of Northern Ireland are the clear winners. I saw, on the BHA facebook page this comment:

Can't we keep humanism and politics separate. There are right wing humanists and left wing humanists. No need to push one groups agenda in the name of a communal cause.

I made this point in quick return:

From a philosophical point of view, they are all (politics, religion and humanism) part of moral philosophy, dealing with oughts - how we ought to live. So to separate politics and humanism is actually pretty incoherent. If you are a humanist, your politics, in many aspects, should take this into account, or even derive fully from it. politics, in some sense, is moral philosophy of the individual applied to society (in a simplistic sense).
