So, here's the thing. Mango Mussolini is the most inept person to occupy the Oval Office since before there even was an Oval Office. His "ideas" are laughably inane, outright racist, xenophobic, and backwards. There is not one proposal that he has put forward that is even worth the amount of toilet paper it would take to wipe it off one's ass.

However -- elections have consequences. The Republican Party is firmly entrenched in both houses of Congress, and the short-fingered vulgarian is beginning (slowly) to learn what can and cannot be done by mere fiat versus working with a completely compliant Congress.

That means environmental protections are done for. Our health care system will be immeasurably worse once they get done doing whateverthehell they're going to do with it. The economy is going to crash bigly as protectionist policies lead to trade wars lead to a giant stock market dip (the order of which might be different, but the outcome the same). Already, the ill-thought-out travel ban has negatively impacted the entire US travel-and-tourism industry. Social Security is at risk, Medicare is at risk, Medicaid is at risk. These are features of the Republican plans, not bugs. Whatever they can think of to put more money in the pockets of their wealthy supporters at the expense of the 98%, that's what they're going to do.

And there's not one thing that we can do about it. Because even if Melania puts a well-deserved ice pick through the giant Oompah Loompah's ear, the Republicans would still be firmly in control of the White House and Congress.

Anyone who thinks impeachment or whatever other method you care to dream up to remove a wholly and unalterably unqualified person from high office is going to magically fix things is not paying attention.
