Susan Sarandon's Support of Third Party Candidates: "I don't vote with my vagina"

This is a fascinating perspective. Susan Sarandon, of whom I am an admirer, here advocates supporting a third party candidate. And I get it. I have long thought that the American political machine is broken in its tremendously narrow two-party system. But it will always remain when faced with a polarising choice that people see in the short term. Given a scenario of either Trump or Clinton, many opt for the strictly utilitarian approach of the lesser of two evils. But this sustains that two-party system, and so the status quo maintains indefinitely. With First Past the Post, as it is organised in the US, it will forever be a tough nut to crack unless some kind of tipping point, some sort of critical mass can be reached.

I have some sympathy for her position.
